Almost completely surrounded by sea in the far west of Great Britain, Cornwall is a stunning destination with a dramatic 300-mile coastline, beautiful sandy beaches, and wild moorland.

Our eight-day tour of Cornwall and the Cotswolds is an opportunity to dip into the unique  and fascinating history of these distinctive regions.

The tour includes visits to quaint fishing villages, beautiful gardens, historic castles and ruins, plus plenty of time for traditional afternoon “Cream Tea”.

Cornwall & Cotswolds Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in London - Winchester - Stonehenge - Salisbury  - overnight in Bournemouth

Your group is met at the airport by our expert guide and taken by coach to Winchester to visit the medieval cathedral. Then on to mystical, 5,000 year-old Stonehenge, the most famous megalithic monument in England. The day ends with a visit to lovely Salisbury and its gothic St Mary’s cathedral.

Day 2

Bournemouth - Abbotsbury - Dartmoor - overnight in Plymouth

After sampling the sea air in Bournemouth the tour heads west to the quaint village of  Abbotsbury, famous for its swannery and suptropical gardens. Then on to the Roman walled city of Exeter, to explore the glorious cathedral and medieval cellar vault, and a scenic drive across Dartmoor National Park.

Day 3

Plymouth - Polperro - Lost Gardens of Heligan - Lanhydrock Gardens - overnight in Plymouth

First stop is the picturesque fishing village Polperro with its cute cottages and narrow streets. Then on to the Lost Gardens of Heligan, one of the most mysterious estates in England, and the beautiful Victorian Lanhydrock Gardens which include one of the most stunning cottages in Cornwall.

Day 4

Plymouth - St Michael's Mount - Land's End - St Ives - overnight in Plymouth

A full day exploring the western edge of Cornwall's beautiful and dramatic coastline, with its history of shipwrecks and smuggling. First to St Michael’s Mount with its historic castle, then on to pretty St Ives and the most western point of the England, Land's End, and a chance to enjoy a traditional “Cream Tea” of scones, jam, clotted cream and a cup of tea.

Day 5

Plymouth - Glastonbury Abbey - overnight in Bristol

After a scenic drive across Dartmoor National Park, the tour heads to Glastonbury in Somerset and a visit to the atmospheric ruins of 7th century Glastonbury Abbey - alleged resting place for King Arthur. Then to the unspoilt market town of Wells at the foot of the rolling Mendip Hills, to explore the beautiful 13th century Gothic cathedral.

Day 6

Bristol - Buscot Park - Blenheim Palace - Burford - overnight in Bristol

From Bristol, the tour heads to Buscot Park to visit some exquisite gardens, including a spectacular Water Garden. The tour continues to Oxfordshire and magnificent Blenheim Palace, the birthplace and ancestral home of Sir Winston Churchill. Then on to Burford in the gorgeous Cotswolds for a traditional afternoon tea.

Day 7

Bristol - Bath - Windsor Castle - overnight in London

First stop is the beautiful Georgian city of Bath and a chance to explore the fascinating Roman Baths complex. Then on to Windsor to visit the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world and The Queen's favourite weekend home - Windsor Castle, built in the 11th century by William the Conqueror.

Transfer to the airport.
