JacTravel Modern Slavery Act Statement

We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.

Orgisation's Structure

JacTravel is one of the world's premier suppliers of online hotel bookings and inbound travel services to the tourism sector.

We operate two distinct yet complementary divisions:

Our clients are global and range from small specialist tour operators to multi-national online retailers – and while they may differ in size and requirements, we provide the same outstanding customer service thanks to our expert, friendly, multilingual staff.

Our Supply Chains

Our supply chains are through more than 18,000 independent and chain hotel partners. In addition we also have 27 wholesale suppliers integrated into our booking engines.

Responsibility for Anti-Slavery Initiatives

Responsibility for Anti-Slavery Initiatives lies with the Chief Operating Officer.

Supporting Polices

We have in place the following policies to reflect our commitment to act with integrity in all our business dealings and to comply with existing legislation:

  • Anti-Slavery policy
  • Whistleblowing
  • Anti-Bribery
  • Bullying and Harassment
  • Equality and Diversity

Supplier Adherence to Our Values and Due Diligence Processes

JacTravel has a zero tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking and expects our suppliers and contractors to uphold the same values. Accordingly, the Company will not conduct business knowingly with anyone engaged in slavery and human trafficking practices or knowingly permit them to be carried out in any part of its business.

To ensure all those in our supply chain comply with our values we have included specific clauses in our contracts with our direct suppliers of hotels rooms. We will also review our agreement with the third party suppliers of hotel rooms and suppliers for group tours and other services.

Training on the Modern Slavery policy and on the risk our business faces from modern slavery in its supply chains forms part of the induction process for all individuals who work for us, and updates will be provided as necessary to existing staff to assist them in identifying and preventing exploitation.

Communication of Statement

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Group’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending in October 2016. It is available on the Company’s website and computer shared drive.
